Granada Tour 2026

An unforgettable five days! Getting together with team-mates old and new, in an amazing city with one of the world’s greatest monuments, and enjoying some cricket against our hosts Granada CC and fellow touring side Sutton Benger CC.

Scorecards from our four tour games:

The tour begins! James joins our founder Maxie on the train to Gatwick …

… and meet up with Garreth, Samer and tour first-timer Ross for a pre-flight beverage at the airport.

Thursday evening, and the tour party heads for dinner in the city – and randomly meet some old mates of Slats’s.

Friday morning, and Sirmad, Garreth, KP and Samer take a trip to the famous Alhambra Palace …

… and the views over the city from the Generalife gardens…

… while Alfie, Jono and Viv take a tour of the city.

Friday afternoon, and our first visit to the Granada Oval as we take on our hosts in a T20 …

… while James and Chadders chill out on the boundary.

All together after our first T20. Despite maiden Allstars fifties from Jono and Sirmad, we fell short of the imposing target of 241 they set us.

Taking on a new sport! Our hotel had a padel court, and many of us tried the game for the first time.

Back to the “GOval” for our second game, a 35 overs a side fixture with Sutton Benger…

while Garreth takes charge of the scorebook.

All together after day 2. We battled hard again but Sutton Benger won the day, with considerable assistance from Vivek who guested for them as they were a player short.

Saturday night, as we and Sutton Benger are treated to a fantastic Spanish dinner by our hosts…

… before Chadders, Samer and first time tourist Luke enjoy a beer together.

The three original Stanners – Maxie, Garreth and James – together after our innings against Granada draws to a close.

Sheltering in the bar from some unseasonal Granada rain. But the weather relents, and we get back out again …

Our tour specialist Rob after some fun out in the middle.

Victory! With a little help from Granada, we beat Sutton Benger in our final T20 game – only our third win overseas.

Our very own Sir Viv is named man of the series by Sutton Benger …

… and Garreth presents our generous hosts with one of our famous tour shirts.

All three sides together – so many new friends made and old friends reconnected on a fabulous weekend. Where will 2027 take us?
