France Tour 2022

After two postponements – we finally made it to the South of France! Five unforgettable days as we caught up with old friends and new and recaptured the Allstars’ spirit for touring once again.

Welcome to Antibes- it’s been waiting for us! Garreth, Vivek and Rob give the 2022 tour shirts their first showing as we settle into our base for the tour.

Catching up over a beer or two with KP, one of our many overseas Allstars who joined us for the tour.
A rare bit of culture on tour, as we visit the Picasso Museum on Friday afternoon. In the memorable words of one Australian, his work can be compared to Steve Harmison’s bowling.
The tour party gathers on Friday night – fantastic to get us all together again. We were somewhat less than impressed by the local accordion player.
Saturday morning, and Sam Macdonald inspects our branded tour minibus. Our drivers did a great job getting us around and were certainly a vast improvement on our previous France tour.
In the field against Riviera.
Our highest altitude game ever, in the foothills of the Alps. Riviera were too strong for us but we gave it a great go.
We were well looked after by Riviera, with some great Indian food served for tea.
Saturday night, and we all gather for dinner with the Grant family and our old team mate (and now local resident) Cassandra Derham.
Sunday morning, and our game against Entrecasteaux washed out – but we found a great alternative in wine and cheese tasting …
… and Ligue 1 football, as we watch OGC Nice take on Troyes.
Sunrise on Monday morning before we head for home. Looking forward to another tour in 2023 … where will we go next?
